EWEL is sad to announce the passing of longtime team member Terry Netterfield. Terry was an essential part of EWEL’s operation from the day he joined our team in 1998. He was a loyal, fierce worker. When he was dialed into a task, we were wise to get out of his way. He put 100% into everything he did. He started in the warehouse, quickly moved up to the front counter and order desk, and through a lot of hard work, moved up to purchasing. Terry’s work ethic, wit, and sense of humour are missed by many.
Terry grew up in Wingham, Ontario with four siblings. He was a rough and tumble kid who loved hockey and baseball. Later on Terry grew to love camping and the outdoors and became an avid fisherman. He moved to Edmonton 1980 and arrived just in time to see the Oilers lose to Philly in their first ever playoff series. He raised two daughters, Melissa and Shannon, and was stepfather to Andrea, the daughter of his partner Jolanda. Terry was beloved by all who knew him.
We at EWEL extend our deepest sympathies to Terry’s family. We share your loss. We miss him a lot, and many of our customers do, too.
Take care, Terry. You’re in our hearts.
