EWEL announces that Al Graham, principal and long-time Sales Manager, will retire on August 31, 2019.
“We’re sad to see Al pack it in, but we know he’ll enjoy the hell out of his retirement years,”
– says EWEL CEO Bruce Carson.
Al became the Sales Manager and a principal at EWEL in 2005. Widely known and respected throughout the electrical industry, his vast experience, influence, and knowledge kept EWEL going through the lean years of the late aughts/early twenty-tens.
“Al was the second best golfer at EWEL,” jokes EWEL President David Carson. “Seriously though, we’re super grateful that we got Al for as long as we did. He’ll be missed by the ownership group, customers, and staff alike. He was a huge part of EWEL’s success.”
Al plans to spend his retirement seeing his family, playing golf, and expanding his peerless, ever-expressive wardrobe. Al Graham began his whirlwind electrical career at Nedco in Vancouver in 1973. He soon moved to Winnipeg and joined Westburne, where he quickly worked his way up from warehouse to quotes. Al was promoted into outside sales and moved to Saskatoon where he soon became a sales manager. Al switched to the manufacturing side of the electrical business when he joined the Crouse Hinds team in Vancouver. He was soon promoted to Area Manager, and then to VP Sales, Western Canada, with his most recent move to Edmonton. In 2005, Al came back to the world of electrical distribution and joined EWEL as partner and sales manager.
